About the Author :
Pil and Galia Kollectiv are London based artists, writers and curators working in collaboration. Their work addresses the legacy of modernism and explores avant-garde discourses of the twentieth century and the way they operate in the context of a changing landscape of creative work and instrumentalised leisure. They have had solo shows at Te Tuhi Center for the Arts, New Zealand, S1 Artspace, Sheffield, 2008 and The Showroom Gallery, London, 2007. They have also presented live work at the Herzliya Biennial, the Berlin Biennial and the Montreal Biennial, as well as at Kunsthall Oslo, Arnolfini, Bristol and Late at Tate Britain, London. Recent exhibitions include Hierarchies of Allegiance, The Royal Standard, Liverpool, Apocatopia, Castlefield Gallery, Manchester and Roll it to Me, Collective Gallery, Edinburgh. They are lecturers in Fine Art at the University of Reading and are the London editors of Art Papers magazine.
